Qué es esto

Street food the way it is sold on a corner in Venezuela

In Venezuela the hot dog cart is a late night institution. The dog is only the start. On top goes shredded cabbage and carrot, onion, corn, a green avocado sauce, a creamy garlic sauce, ketchup, mustard, parmesan and a handful of crispy potato sticks. That is a perro caliente, and that is what we make.

The burgers get the same treatment: a fried egg, cheese, both sauces and potato sticks on every one. If you grew up with this, you already know. If you did not, start with a Perro Normal and a Frescolita and you will understand in one bite.

We are a food cart at 15315 Highway 99 in Lynnwood, not a restaurant. There is no dining room. Pull in, order at the window, eat in the car or take it home.

Por qué Vela

Good ingredients, better moments

01

Built the way they build them back home

Cabbage, corn, two sauces, parmesan and potato sticks on a hot dog sounds like a lot until you try it. That is the real perro caliente, and we do not leave anything off.

02

Two sauces on everything

Guasacaca and salsa de ajo go on every single thing we serve. Avocado and garlic, green and creamy. Ask for extra and we will give you extra.

03

Open late, when you actually want this

Wednesday through Saturday, 7 PM to midnight. This is late night food. Come after work, after the game, or after the bar.
